The
construction on the New Horizons Community Center of Care is underway.
On 02/11/2008 construction started with the clearing of some trees
where the building will be. The trees will be preserved when possible.
Please check back here often for construction updates and pictures.
2-19-08
2-27-08: Lunch on the grounds with Malcolm Smith. The
children of New Horizons enjoy a field trip to Abilene and meet with
all the staff for lunch at the site development for the Audrey Grace
House.
3-12-08
Digging has started
3-24-08 Pad is being built up. There will be
two more layers on top of this fill.
4-2-08 Last pad layer. Permit
is in place to build.
4-11-08 Ready to build forms
4-16-08 Digging the roadway and
turn through driveway
4-28-08 Forms are being set.
5-1-08 Forms Ready
*5-8-08 Plumbing in and digging
the sewer line.

to the Audrey Grace House
The video below will take you on a time lapsed helicopter flight from
high over Abilene to the new location of the Audrey Grace House. The
Abilene Community Center of Care (Audrey Grace House) will be located
on the small beautiful lake. Children and families will be served
with residential treatment, shelter, family and individual counseling,
direct family living situations, and extended child to adult care.
